::: PMI Executive Summary

Mission : To Continue Proclaiming to the Muslim World that Jesus is both Savior and Lord.

Vision: Reaching the Persian Muslim World with the Gospel and Democracy & Equipping the Local Church to Reach ALL Muslims in their Community.

Projections and Challenges in 2009 :

  • Increased demands from Churches in N. America to understand Islam & how to reach Muslims for Christ.
  • Increased demands for evangelistic & discipleship resources as the number of Muslim converts in Iran will reach to expected half a million this year.
  • Increased demands to understand democracy and creative ways to deal with the radical Islamic Regime in Iran.

Objectives in 2009 :

1- To meet the current demands of the Church Body, PMI needs to:

  • Use the Christian media to raise the awareness of thousands of churches to amazing opportunities to reach Muslims in their local community.
  • Equip churches through PMI’s pulpit sermons and seminars.
  • Increase evangelistic opportunities by promoting Muslim and Christian dialog.

2- To meet the increased needs and demands of Muslim converts, PMI needs to:

  • Continue broadcasting on a Pro-democracy Muslim Satellite TV Station.
  • Expand the distribution of quality Christian materials over the Internet.
  • Provide the resources for cell church planting and the training of native workers .

3- To meet the increased demands of the Pro-democracy movement in Iran, PMI needs to:

  • Maintain its current level of exposure and interaction with the secular and Christian media in regards to Islam and Iran.
  • Continue the current allocation of airtime on PMI’s International satellite broadcasts to educate Iranians on core democratic ideals and the principles of civil disobedience and non-violent passive resistance as taught and practiced by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Sound the alarm regarding the atrocities being committed by the Iranian radical regime to the International Community and especially the Iranians.
  • Encourage the Pro-democracy Movement in Iran by motivating people to press the fundamental Iranian regime for religious freedom and referendum.

4- PMI PRIME DIRECTIVES:

The core values and goals of PMI are driven by five "greats/finals" of the New Covenant:

1. The Great Commission- We desire to see the Gospel taken to the ends of the earth with emphasis on the largest unreached people group, Muslims. We strategically target the most responsive Muslims people group, Persian-speakers, believing that revival in Iran would initiate a responsive ripple across the entire Muslim world.

  • Mathew 28:18-20 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Fahter and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

2. The Greatest Commandement-We call on believers to live to the fullest by loving God with all their soul, mind, and strength and loving others as themselves.

  • Mathew 22:36-40 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the firest and greatest commandemnt. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
  • 1 Corinthians 13:1-4 1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, [b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
  • Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

3. Jesus’ Final Counsel -We admonish believers to seek the empowerment of Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Christ both in word and lifestyle.

  • Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
  • John 16: 7- 16 John 16:7-14 7 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt[a] in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

4. Jesus’ Parting Comfort- We see in Jesus parting comfort, His promised abiding Presence, a call for believers to continually grow in their dependence on and relationship with Christ.

  • Matthew 28:20 “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

5. The Greatest Constitution-We see in the Sermon on the Mount God’s blueprint for the reign of His Kingdom in individual believers and the collective Church.

With the five “greats” in mind the ministry of PMI has a responsibility:

1. To Muslims to affirm that God blesses Ishmael as well as Isaac with the understanding of the ONE Creator God and creates common ground with Christians and Jews. However, we believe this revelation is limited in its understanding of the character and motive of God since they do not acknowledge God’s redemptive plan through Jesus. Therefore we strive to present Jesus as Messiah, Savior, and Incarnate Word of God that they might experience the New Birth and gain an intimate relationship with Father God through Jesus.

2. To Iranians to highlight Iran’s past role through King Cyrus who affirmed the basic human right of religious freedom and its expression through the re-establishment of Israel. We believe that Sovereign God has prepared present day Iran for unprecedented revival and the reaffirmation of human rights as an example throughout the Muslim world. (prophecies about Iran)

3. To Israelis and Palestinians to influence the cause of peace for both peoples to live with security, economic and educational opportunities, that Christians may not only preach the Gospel but demonstrate it through their pursuit of equality and justice.

4. To our Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

  • To encourage and equip them to reach out to the 7 million Muslims living in the U.S. since our precious freedoms of speech, religious practtice, and peaceful assembly empowers us to reach the nations fromour own backyard.
  • To those living in the free world to remind them about their responsibility to the oppressed and persecuted Church in Muslim lands.
  • To raise awareness regarding the severe imbalance of efforts and funds spent in nations which already have Gospel saturation while neglecting 2 billion people who have never heard the Gospel once.
  • To highlight the problems caused by factious squabbles over End times prophesies and interpretations which often shift the focus away from the Great Commission and violate the Greatest Commandment. We should be consumed with the fact that Jesus is coming, not the details of how/when, and we will be responsible for our pursuit of the Great Commision, obedience to the Greatest Commandment, response to Jesus' counsel and comfort, and our activation of the Kimgdon's sonstituion in our own lives and that of our realm of influence.
  • To address the imbalance between exercising spiritual gifts over spiritual character and growth while pursuing the Great Commission and Commandment.
